Congratulations to the 2013 University Research Grant recipients. The total value of grants awarded in 2013 is $102,000. The 2013 H.A Krentz award goes to Dr. Robert Driver, University of Alberta, for having the top ranked research proposal. link

Visit the "Fun is in the Details: Innovations in Steel Connections" site which will take you through the understanding and development of steel connections. The site is hosted and maintained by Professor Terri Meyer Boake of the University of Waterloo. link

Visit also the Case Study and Image Gallery of Innovative Steel Buildings" site featuring over 80 buildings from Canada, the U.S. and abroad. Each building set includes at least 16 images that show various structural systems and connections, and their use in exciting design with steel.
