Congratulations to Canadian Teams

The three Canadian Teams that were invited to the 2009 ASCE/AISC National Student Steel Bridge Competition, an event co-sponsored by the CISC and SSEF, did very well.  Lakehead University Team finished with an impressive 3rd place overall.  A total of 47 teams competed at the national level.  Teams were evaluated according to the following categories: Construction Speed, Lightness, Display, Stiffness, Economy, and Efficiency.  École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) Team came in 1st place for Display and Université Laval Team came in 1st place for Economy.  Details of the competition results may be found on our Competitions page.
