Morteza Dehghani is a Ph.D. student studying under the supervision of Prof. Robert Tremblay.  Morteza's research project deals with the development and seismic qualifications of an innovative ductile steel bracing system.  The all-steel "Buckling Steel Bracing, or BSB System has a slender steel core as its main dissipation element and a steel restrainer to prevent buckling.  Comprehensive numerical simulations and full scale experimental tests will be conducted in this research.
