Tarana Receiving the GJ Jackson Award

Tarana Receiving the GJ Jackson Award Tarana

Description

The aim of Tarana’s work is to obtain experimental data of EHS-to-EHS connections and evaluate existing design equations, based on conventional HSS connections, for their adequacy and applicability to EHS connections. The experimental study involves a total of 12 large-scale EHS-to-EHS connection specimens which will be tested in the newly-renovated Structural Testing Facility at the University of Toronto. The experimental data collected may also be used to validate Finite Element Models which can be used for parametric analysis.

Congratulations to Tarana Haque for receiving the 2010 GJ Jackson Fellowship Award.
